This section highlights the examples that prove the harmony and consistency between modern scientific discoveries and principles and a Book revealed more than 14 centuries ago to an unlettered man, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Light and Darkness

It is interesting, therefore, that the word for “darkness” in the Qur’an is always in the plural. The Arabic word, “Zulumat,” is used in the plural in 23 verses of the Qur’an, and never used in the singular. The use of the word “darkness” in the Qur’an indicates that in addition to those light waves we can see, there may also be other kinds. Only recently did scientists discover why the plural may have been used here. Wave lengths vary in a form of energy known as electromagnetic radiation.

Burn the Amazon!

The Amazon’s forests are being burned primarily to create more grazing land for cattle, one of Brazil’s most important exports. Producing meat is not only cruel; it uses up inordinate amounts of land and water.

Miracles of the Qur’an (Special Folder)

Truth Seeker website has been publishing many interesting articles and videos representing examples that prove the complete harmony and total consistency between modern scientific discoveries and principles and the Book of Allah, as believed by all Muslims worldwide and has been scientifically proved by scientists, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. This book is the Ever-Glorious Qur’an which was revealed by Allah the Almighty more than 14 centuries ago to an unlettered man, Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him), the last of all prophets and messengers sent by Allah to guide humanity to the straight path of Allah and to gain eternal salvation.

Effect of the Remembrance of Allah on Hearts

According to research by David B. Larson, of the American National Health Research Center, and his team, comparisons of devout and non-religious Americans have given very surprising results. For instance, religious people suffer 60% less heart disease than those with little or no religious belief, the suicide rate among them is 100% lower, they suffer far lower levels of high blood pressure, and this ratio is 7:1 among smokers.

Hummingbirds and Nectar

After all, is a bird capable of the conscious recognition that it will die if it uses its energy in a fruitless search for food in order to sustain its high metabolism? And can it then decide to improve its memory as a necessary solution to its problem? How does this tiny bird know exactly how long it takes for a flower to refill its supply of nectar, and furthermore, how does it know exactly which flower to return to and remember its flight pattern back to that flower? How does it differentiate between the different flowers?
