How to be Financially Disciplined!

Balancing as well as controlling one’s financial activities have become significantly important as there are many common negative financial transactions and commercial activities that may lead to the destruction of all senses of trust and brotherhood among individuals and groups alike. In a similar vein, controlling and verifying one’s financial activities is considered as a real indicator and measurement of his/her fairness and integrity.

Only the Enemies Win!

The moral of the story is clear and self-explanatory indeed. It needs neither further clarification nor commenting. However, one may say that history repeats itself. Or, more precisely, so as not to do history any injustice, it is we who do not learn from the lessons of history and we tend to repeat the same thing each time though the results are already known and have been witnessed before… repeatedly and recurrently!

Why Is Time So Important?

Time passes like the clouds. No matter how long man lives in this life, his life is short, as death is the end of every living creature. When Prophet Nuh (i.e. Noah) (Peace be upon him) was asked: “O the longest living prophet, how did you find this world?” He said: “It is like a house that has two doors. I entered from one of them and got out through the other.”

Shedding Light on Makkah

In Makkah springs the finest water on the surface of the earth, the water of Zamzam, which is food that suffices the hungry and a cure for the sick. It is the water with which the chest and heart of the chosen Prophet Muhammad were cleansed in order to prepare him for the paramount mission from the Almighty Allah.

Fall of an Ancient Superpower (Qur’anic Story)

It is the same message given by every messenger of God: it is a call to believe in God alone and to fear Him and obey His messenger. This is coupled with a declaration disclaiming any interest in worldly luxuries or position the people may have to offer. This puts things in the right perspective. The messenger seeks nothing from them, but instead he looks to God for his reward.

Jewels of Islam (Special Folder)

Islam is the religion of about 1.7 billion people all over the world. It is believed by Muslims that Islam is the original faith sent down and prescribed by Allah (God) the Almighty for all humanity since Prophet Adam (Peace and blessings be upon him). To them, it is not a mere faith or religion sent down by Allah to Prophet Muhammad, the last Prophet, (Peace and blessings be upon him), rather, it is the faith of all prophets and messengers and the faith of fitrah (natural disposition) and that many people exchanged it for either disbelief or belief in other than Allah, the Creator of everything.

Kindness to Children

The same happened with his two grandsons, Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein (May Allah be pleased with them), when they grew up a little, and were able to toddle around, they very frequently wandered out of their house into the Prophet’s masjid (i.e. mosque). If the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) was in the middle of a khutbah (i.e. sermon), he would immediately stop, descend from the pulpit, take them in his arms, carry them back, and seat them beside himself on the pulpit, and then he would resume his khutbah.

The Problems Facing Modern Civilization

The evils of Muslim societies stem from the gap between principle and practice, whereas the evils of Western society are the result of a clash between principles and realities. The Western civilization of modern times has formed principles independent of religious principles, to govern social life, and has maintained that modern principles were superior to older principles.

If You Want To Be Saved, Ask Questions!

A major factor behind this problem is that some Muslim women do not have the capability to offer Da’wah to others because their own store of general Islamic knowledge is lacking. One additional cause of the problem is that some Muslim women confuse Islamic priorities. For, unfortunately, they cannot recognize the difference between religion and traditions.

The Covenant of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab

This is an assurance of peace and protection given by the servant of Allah Omar, Commander of the Believers to the people of Ilia’ (Jerusalem). He gave them an assurance of protection for their lives, property, churches and crosses as well as the sick and healthy and all its religious community.
