The Qur’an and Imru’ Al-Qais

During the lifetime of the Prophet (peace be upon him), some unbelievers used to hide and listen to the Prophet while he was reciting the Glorious Qur’an.
Some Muslim and non-Muslim scholars exert themselves to prove the claim that both Moses and Jesus belong to the family of `Imran. But, this is completely contrary to the Islamic basics of the creed.
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers. (Aal `Imran 3:85)
Allah has instructed us to ponder over the Glorious Qur’an while giving careful consideration to the consequences of following and applying its teachings and commandments.
The claim that Muhammad’s goal was to unite the Arabs is also difficult to defend when one looks into the life of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his own statements against nationalism, tribalism etc.
Nonetheless, material gain; desire for power; desire to unify the Arabs and ever having had epilepsy are all easily ruled out when any unbiased reader one looks into the life of Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
The Glorious Qur’an is full of signs, wisdom, rules, proofs, instructions, and miracles. Therefore, deep thinking and contemplation in reading the Qur’an is the only way to realize these contents.
Whereas Bible is a collection of writings by different authors, Qur’an is a direct revelation from Allah. The speaker in the Qur’an is God unlike the Bible.
The Qur’an tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life. The Qur’an tells us who God is, by what name we should address Him, and the way in which to communicate with Him.
