Teaching Children the Quran
Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “All of you are guardians and responsible for your subjects. The ruler is a guardian of his subjects, the man is a guardian of his family, the woman is a guardian and is responsible for her husband’s house and his offspring; and so all of you are guardians and are responsible for your subjects.” (Agreed Upon)
In another hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.” (At-Tirmidhi)
