Similarities between the Qur’an and Rain

What are the effects of the Book of Allah? How could the Qur’an be a source of light?

Sheikh Nouman Khan reflects on the following two verses from Surat An-Nahl (the 16th Chapter of the Qur’an) to explain the similarities between the Qur’an and rain and the effects of the book of Allah on the earth. Almighty Allah says:

And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe. (An-Nahl 16: 64)

It is known that water or the rain is the spring of life on the earth. It is essential for the survival of all creatures on the earth. In the same way, the Book of Allah was sent down to rectify all the aspects of life that are morally and spiritually dead. The Qur’an brings people out from the depth of darkness into the light.
