Correct Your Recitation (97)

What is the difference between the life of a believer and that of a disbeliever? What are the characteristics of the Arabic letters?

Recitation of the Qur’an

Almighty Allah says:

…and recite the Qur’an with measured recitation. (Al-Muzzammil 73:4)

In another verse:

Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. (Al-Baqarah 2:121)

Welcome to a new interesting episode of “Correct Your Recitation” series with Sheikh Muhammad Salah and his guests. First Sheikh Isma`il recites from verse 42 of Surat Al-Qalam (The 68th Chapter of the Qur’an with 52 verses that talks in detail about Allah’s Justice and the Day of Judgement) to the end of the surah.

Dr. Muhammad Salah begins hit talk by mentioning the Sunnah of Istidraj which means the Allah Almighty gives bounties and fortunes to someone whereby Allah is not pleased with him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “When you see Allah gives good fortunes to his slaves who are always committing sins (disobedient), know that the person is being given istidraj by Allah.” (Ahmad)

Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Verily, Allah gives respite to the oppressor. But when He seizes him, He does not let him escape.” (Agreed Upon)

Then, Dr. Muhammad continued his explanation of the remaining verses and make a comparison between the believers and disbelievers in this world life and the hereafter.

After that, Dr. Muhammad  explains two new characteristics of the Arabic letters which are known as Al-Itbaq and Al-Infitah.
